Sean Hobden started tattooing in 1981 and after serving in the army he opened Body Art in 1985 in Tunbridge Wells, then moving premises in 89 to where it is situated today.

Our studio is now one of the longest established tattoo studios in Kent and the first to be licensed in the Tunbridge Wells area, but after 34 years tattooing in many era's Sean is now retired.

So what's happening today?

Sean's son Josh now runs the studio and is a full time artist, he can tattoo in most styles but due to his award winning black and grey work people travel from all over to be tattooed by him.

Working along side Josh is Gavin Dunbar who is also a capable all rounder and also likes to tattoo in black n grey realism, but often turns his hand to colour, traditional and pattern dot work.

Body Art offers a friendly welcoming atmosphere with a unique blend of modern and traditional in.

Sean now spends his time painting flash and writing books on tattooing in the 20th century as well as new projects.
